Next Generation Naturalists: Supporting Youth Environmental Leadership

Are you a young person between the ages of 17 and 22 with an interest in the environment?

Want to join up with others and work together to promote and protect the natural world?

We’re kicking off a new group this spring based at Thompson Rivers University (TRU). Its totally free to join!

If this sounds like your thing then drop us your e-mail and we’ll get in touch.

Background Information:

Features:

  • Explore Kamloops and beyond. Group chooses the adventure.   We supply the bus.
  • Cool speakers that will help you level up your leadership skills.
  • Master Naturalist certification taught by TRU instructors. Learn all about nature but with no tests, no grades, and no stress.
  • Get paid to get your hands dirty. We’ll be working together on an ecosystem restoration project.

Thanks to a generous grant from the Lawson Youth Foundation  and with the support of TRU and the City of Kamloops, the Kamloops Naturalist Club is excited to be facilitating a three year youth environmental leadership program. Beginning this March, 35 students will convene at least twice a month at TRU. There’s no cost whatsoever to participate. Everything is covered!

Have some fun. Find yourself by getting lost in nature. Help build up your community.  Become part of the next generation of naturalists!
