Our annual membership fee is $28 Individual; $23 Student; $40 Family. Please note that membership is for the calendar year (Jan to Dec). New members who join Sept-Dec, will have their dues applied to the next year; they will enjoy all benefits of membership before then, but will need to sign day membership forms (for insurance purposes) for any field trips prior to Jan.
As a club member, you will enjoy many opportunities each year to share and participate in activities with like-minded people who love nature and actively support our goals. You will be welcome to attend any of our field trips and meetings and you have a right to vote on initiatives that impact our projects and goals. You will have an opportunity to join the club executive team and run for one of our executive positions. Your participation in field trips and work parties is covered under the Public Liability insurance policy of the club. We encourage all members to bring interested guests to our events. You will receive our newsletter, Sage Whispers published bi-monthly five times each year.
We also provide club information through an e-mail list called the Info Line. To be added to this list, contact Margaret Graham at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Club membership also includes membership in BC Nature, our parent provincial body. You will be linked in to the extensive network of naturalists across the province. You will receive a subscription to the excellent quarterly, BC Nature Magazine and receive their monthly e-newsletter, Natures Voice. The BC Nature affiliation also offers you the opportunity to participate in their spring and fall general meetings held at various locations across the province. You may also be interested in one of their many summer camps.
