Pendleton Creek
A note from Steve Schmidt: ”
“Deb and I went up to Greenstone Mountain Lookout yesterday, quite a few butterflies up there right now…
On the way down we detoured into PCRS and it was a super hot spot for birds! The west end of the wetland (bring your robber boots) was teeming with flycatchers, wrens, waxwings, warblers, etc. The waxwings were acting like flycatchers, hadn’t seen that before. In the trees above where we parked the car, chipping sparrows, sapsuckers, and I couple that wouldn’t sit still long enough to be identified…. “
I’m going back in the morning, as the afternoon light wasn’t ideal. Here’s pics of the cedar waxwing, willow flycatcher, and marsh wren, plus a bonus flutterby pic from the lookout.”
Our thanks to Steve.
