Notice of Field Trip Cancellations
All of the Kamloops Naturalist Club spring field trips are cancelled.
Although these field trips are cancelled as KNC functions, these are still good locations and times of day to see birds in these areas.
Now is a great time to visit Gamble Pond in McGowan Park and the slough at McArthur Island to see migrating ducks up close. Morning is the best time to go. Take your binoculars and field guide and keep your physical distance.
If you venture out onto the country roads, you can see meadowlarks and bluebirds.
You can also access the list of favourite birding spots from the tab on the main website menu.
Also on the cancellation list is the April 2 KEG talk with Catherine Hickson, April 16 KNC meeting at Heritage House, the Spring Clean Up in Lac du Bois on April 19, and the 3 KNC Educational Workshops that were scheduled with the City of Kamloops in the Spring Activity Guide – Tranquille Birdwatching with Tristan Semeniuk and Isaac Nelson, Trees of Riverside Park with Alan Vyse, and a Gold Panning/Nature Walk with Jesse Ritcey. If you signed up, contact the city for refunds.
