Grasslands Community Day

This event will be held on Saturday, October 19th from 10 am – 2 pm at the 9.5 km trailhead along Lac du Bois Road. This will be a celebration of the new elementary-level grassland curriculum and an unveiling of the updated kiosk signage and the ArcGIS Story Map that relates directly to lessons from the curriculum.
At this event, we will have nearly 300 grass and forb plugs to plant and some native seed to apply. Gloves and trowels for planting the plugs will be provided. We will have a table to share our grassland curriculum materials, and we encourage those who may attend on behalf of an organization (TNIPMC and GCC) to bring your outreach materials (table, swag, handouts) with you. If you have materials to bring, please arrive by 9:30 am to set up (I will be on site by 9 am). The event will be geared towards families, students, and community groups.
Please note that attendees are encouraged to carpool, as parking is limited at the trailhead.
