You may join the Kamloops Naturalist Club or renew your membership in two ways.
- Payment by e-transfer from your bank. First, complete and submit the membership form below. Then, submit your payment by e-transfer. If you are renewing, you must complete the membership form annually so our records are updated.
E-transfer is a fast and secure way to send money through the online services of your bank. Your bank transfers funds directly to the Kamloops Naturalist Club. The transfer is usually immediate, but may take up to 30 minutes depending on the bank. Go online to your personal account and look for a link to e-transfer payments. No special security process is needed. Send the payment to info@naturekamloops.ca
- Payment by cheque. First, complete and submit the membership form below. Mail a cheque to Winnifred Fisher, PO Box 625, Kamloops, British Columbia V2C 5L7. If you have questions, contact Winnifred at win.fischer@yahoo.ca. You may also bring a cheque to a monthly meeting.
Our annual membership fee is $28 Individual; $23 Student; $40 Family. There is an additional $5 per year charge if you want to be mailed a paper copy of the BC Nature magazine. Please note that membership is for the calendar year (January to December). New members who join September through December will have dues applied to the next year. They will enjoy all benefits of membership before then, but will need to sign day membership forms (for insurance purposes) for any field trips prior to January.
Benefits of Membership
As a club member, you will enjoy many opportunities each year to share and participate in activities with like-minded people who love nature and actively support our goals. You will be welcome to attend any of our field trips and meetings and you have a right to vote on initiatives that impact our projects and goals. You will have an opportunity to join the club executive team and run for one of our executive positions. Your participation in field trips and work parties is covered under the Public Liability insurance policy of the club. We encourage all members to bring interested guests to our events. You will receive our newsletter, Sage Whispers, published four times each year.
We also provide club information through an e-mail list called the Info Line. You will be added to this list when you join. If you do not wish to receive these messages, you can unsubscribe at the bottom of any message.
Club membership also includes membership in BC Nature, our parent provincial body. You will be linked in to the extensive network of naturalists across the province. You will receive a subscription to the excellent quarterly, BC Nature Magazine, and receive their monthly e-newsletter, Natures Voice. The BC Nature affiliation also offers you the opportunity to participate in their spring and fall general meetings held at various locations across the province. You may also be interested in one of their summer camps.
