No Cranes Field Trip
Report from Margaret Graham
Thirteen people showed up at Separation Lake at 7:30 Sunday morning in hopes of seeing the Sandhill Cranes but we didn’t see any. However, we weren’t disappointed as we saw 24 different species, including a lot of bluebirds and one muskrat. Karen Willies kept track of the birds so we have an accurate count. We ended up at Gamble Pond in McGowan Park where we added another 6 species for a total of 30. It was a cold, windy day but we were well dressed. I hope the weather will be warmer for our next field trips.
