Continue reading →December 19: Crimson-Collared Tanager Di and I saw a Crimson-collared Tanager on the first day of our first trip to Costa Rica. Di found the bird so beautiful that it brought tears to her eyes. We never saw one on any of our subsequent trips, until I saw one this Spring – Amazingly enough, with Alex Martinez, the same guide we had so many years ago.
